I just started putting up ads and would like a way to see how many views they get, and perhaps clicks.
Need to start 'free' for right now, but it would be great if I could
potentially upgrade down the line to a paid version with more services?
Does such an item exist?

There is no ALL in One Adtracking script that would do all the above.
If it is just text link ads , then you track number of views. What you
can do is track the number of clicks and see where the traffic is
coming.
You can use url shortener like bit.ly and can traffic/click details .
If you doing banner Ads, then the services you using should provide you with number of views/impressions and clicks
